The United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago Football Association (UMMOA FA) website was launched today:
According to the website, the UMMOA Premier League is set to take place on April 17th. We now know that 10, not 8 teams as originally predicted, will be contesting the title. All teams have confirmed their participation, and the fixtures and photos will be posted on the website soon.
Two groups of 5 teams have been drawn up in a seeding process, with the top 2 from each group going through to the final playoffs.
The 5 teams of Group A are: Palmyra Villa, Baker United, Sporting Johnston, AFC Midway, and Real Bajo Nueva (RBN). The 5 teams of Group B are: Spartak Lisianski, FC Jarvis, Wake Rangers, Navassa United, and Howland Celtic.
The UMMOA FA has also managed to attract two sponsors so far, so there is some hope for the future.
Edward A Stubbs, President of the football association, has said today that he is also interested in talking to micronations that have a soccer team, and that have good relations with UMMOA.
If you would like additional information, or would like to help with the UMMOA Football Association in any way, perhaps even gain an honorary position on the FA, please contact Edward Stubbs at his new email address:
