Internet Republic of Blah becomes UMMOA member

The Internet Republic of Boundless L33ts and Hackers, also known as the Internet Republic of Blah, has finally joined the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) quasi federation.

The Internet Republic of Blah was founded on 4 April 2009, and has 23 members according to the latest census. It defines itself as an internationally notable organisation of mostly hackerspace-related people, coders, geeks, hardware hackers and the like, and those who spend most of their time online, or travelling around the world, and therefore don’t feel they belong to a specific nation.

Initially the Republic of Blah gained its own Hackerspace at Hackerspaces are community-operated physical places where people can meet and work on their projects.

Today the Republic of Blah can also claim a theoretical small piece of land for future embassy-construction purposes in the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago, as one of the ten UMMOA member nations.

Actually, the Republic of Blah today also has a small piece of the Inclusive Namespace, which is part of a much wider namespace than the one maintained by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). As the results of the domain information groper (DiG) below show, it was granted the .blah top-level domain (TLD) in the Cesidian Root, and now uses several .blah domains:

We hope the Internet Republic of Blah continues to grow and evolve, and we wish it the best.
