UMMOA becomes Associate Member of the OEAS

Memorandum on the Admission of The United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) to the OEAS [Organization of Emerging African States]

Taking into consideration:

  1. The environmental importance and the disputed political status of Banc du Geyser, Indian Ocean Island, which is claimed by France, Madagascar, the Comoros, and the UMMOA;
  2. That the UMMOA is dedicated to preserving and protecting Banc du Geyser from economic and military exploitation;
  3. That the UMMOA is in support of the OEAS and the Declaration of Washington;

UMMOA is hereby admitted as an Associate Member of the OEAS under the following terms and conditions:

  1. UMMOA will have the right to attend annual meetings of the OEAS Assembly;
  2. UMMOA is designated a Consultative Agency to the OEAS Secretariat on the matter of the Oceanic Biome;
  3. UMMOA’s status as a voting member of the OEAS representing the Indian Ocean Islands is taken under further consideration.
