Beyond the Pythagorean Theorem

For the Pythagoreans, the tetractys (from the ancient Greek τετρακτύς) represented the arithmetic sequence of the first four natural numbers (or more precisely, the positive integers), a quartet that geometrically could be presented in the form of an equilateral triangle of side four in measurement, to form a pyramid which summarizes the fundamental relationship between the first four digits and the decade: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10.

The school of Pythagoras not only was called Tetractys, but his followers also gave oaths on the tetractys.

In this context, the number 1 represents a point, and in the case of the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) it also represents the city of Cyberterra. The number 1 also represents the fundamental unity, the wholeness, the completeness, the Fire element.

The 2 represented for two points, a line segment, and in the case of the UMMOA it also represents your connection to Cesidian Root through your ISP. The number 2 also represents duality, complementary opposites, the feminine and the masculine (it’s the first true female number), the Air element.

The 3 represented three points, a triangle, and in the case of the UMMOA it also represents triangles of islands such as Navassa Island-Bajo Nuevo Bank-Serranilla Bank, or the Palmyra Atoll-Jarvis Island-Baker Island. The number 3 also represents a measure of space and time, the dynamics of life (this is the first true male number), the creation, the Water element.

The 4 represented four points, a tetrahedron (the simplest regular polyhedron with four faces), and in the case of the UMMOA it represents the State in three dimensions, its islands scattered all over the whole earth. The number 4 also represents the material element, the structural elements, the Earth element.

So far a kind of pyramid is formed which summarises the fundamental relationship between the first four digits and the decade: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10. The number 10 mathematically is a triangular number, and that was the essence of the simplest Pythagorean tetractys, one that represented the entire material universe.

When one complicates the simplest tetractys though, when you add up a fifth digit, an interesting thing happens: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15, and in fact there are 15 UMMOA members now!

The number 15 mathematically is a triangular number as well. Before the 15th component the UMMOA had 14 components, and the number 14 mathematically is a square pyramidal number.

The number 5 represents the five points, a hyperpyramid, which is also called 5-cell, 4-simplex, or pentachoron by mathematicians, and it is a simple regular polychoron, and a natural extension of the triangle (two-dimensional) and the tetrahedron (three-dimensional) in the fourth dimension. In the case of the UMMOA it indicates that the State, in fact, goes beyond three dimensions, and also includes a fourth dimension. Number 5 (2 + 3) according to the Pythagoreans represented the union of the female (2) and male (3), ie marriage, but it also represents the non-material, metaphysical dimension, the dynamics of spiritual life, ie the Idea (ίδέα), the quintessence, the Hieron (ίερόν) or “Divine Thing” element.

In short, the UMMOA is more than a mathematical point in the middle of the Adriatic Sea; is more than a special Internet connection; is more than many triangles of islands in the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea; and it is even more than numerous islands scattered on the whole earth. The UMMOA also contains a non-material dimension, a spiritual dimension.

In short, the UMMOA goes beyond the Pythagorean theorem, but not necessarily beyond the thinking of Pythagoras himself, who made use of mathematics for spiritual development, something which in fact distinguishes the Pythagorean tradition from all the other great traditions.

Treaty signed between the UMMOA and O.S.J. Malta

On 6 September 2010, a bilateral treaty was signed between the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) and the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem — Knights of Malta.

With the Treaty, the UMMOA and O.S.J. Malta are committed to constantly stay in touch, and keep each other informed; to support the other party if the security or other vital interests are threatened; and if necessary, to hold joint press releases with the media.

The two states are also determined to stay together in order to become an active instrument of peace, in order to preserve the values, including religious values, which are essential for human salvation.

The Fourteenth Component of the UMMOA

In the beginning, the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) had 12 components:

  1. 11 islands, scattered across the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea: Navassa Island, Bajo Nuevo Bank, Serranilla Bank, Jarvis Island, Palmyra Atoll, Kingman Reef, Johnston Atoll, Baker Island, Howland Island, Midway Atoll, and Wake Island;
  2. the UMMOA Community of Nations.

Currently there are 20 nations and micronations that are members of the Community of Nations.

The City of Cyberterra was originally founded in September 2002, but it wasn’t until the concept of Cyberterra Mean Time (CMT) was introduced in August 2009 that Cyberterra began to morph into a Cesidian law jurisdiction, the episcopal see of the Cesidian Church, the capital of the UMMOA, and the 13th national component.

On 6 August 2010, the 14th national component came into being.

The UMMOA, a multi-oceanic archipelago governed by a quasi-federation of Fourth, Fifth and Sixth World nations, originally had 4 de jure embassies, i.e. potential embassies to the sovereign countries of the United States, Italy, Cameroon, and India. Seeing how difficult it is to gain even minimal legal status with sovereign states, the UMMOA registered the Fifth World Community (5WC) as the 14th national component, in order to begin to establish natural imperia for the application of Cesidian law, and within registered Cesidian law jurisdictions.

So now the UMMOA, through the Fifth World Community, has gained another 5 de facto embassies:

By the way, the Fifth World Community is an inhabited locality, but it is distributed not across a single geographic area, an archipelago, or conurbation, but across several continents.

If you wish to add your building, castle, villa, or modest home to the Fifth World Community, you can contact us through the website:

UMMOA sponsors first event

On 7 May 2010, at the Foundation “Siniscalco Ceci” (Via Arpi 152) in the city of Foggia, Italy, there will be a cultural meeting with Luciano Pizziconi, Founder and President of Progetto Anthanòr, entitled “Art and Poetry of Life”.

The United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) is one of the event sponsors, and Prof. Fabrizio Felli, Honorary Consul of the UMMOA for Rome and Province, as well as Sen. Dr. Francesco Mavelli, Ambassador of the UMMOA to Italy, will be present. Prof. Fabrizio Felli will also make a presentation.

Other event sponsors are Fondazione Banca del Monte; Ordine Sovrano dei Cavalieri d’Oriente; the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem (Knights of Malta); and Lions Clubs International. Making presentations: Centro Nazionale per la Bontà nella Scuola Premio “Livio Tempesta” of the Puglia region; UNITRE (Università della Terza Età) of the city of Foggia; and Centro Studi Calabius of the town of Sant’Agata di Puglia.

This is the first time the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) is an official event sponsor in Italy, and actually it is the very first cultural meeting officially sponsored by the UMMOA. We have news that a few political VIPs plan to attend.

ETs and Terrestrials Meet on Kita Island (UMMOA)

Victor Martinez, a former US government employee who coordinates the email communication activity, says that confidential sources who are current and former US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) officials told him about an unusual meeting.

Martinez reported that his anonymous source(s) stated that on 12 November 2009, extraterrestrials who have been in contact with elements of the US Government for several decades, met with US and international representatives on the remote Kita Island (aka Akau Island by US government).

Kita Island is part of Johnston Atoll, which in turn is part of the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA), and is located 750 miles south west of Honolulu.

The source(s) said that the extraterrestrials landed their craft on the island, are from a planet in the Zeta Reticuli star system, and are referred to by US personnel as the “Ebens”. The Ebens met with a total of 18 representatives from the US, the UN, Russia, China, the Vatican, and certain other guests. US representatives included five military personnel, two intelligence officers, one linguist, and one person representing the Obama administration.

Internet Republic of Blah becomes UMMOA member

The Internet Republic of Boundless L33ts and Hackers, also known as the Internet Republic of Blah, has finally joined the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA) quasi federation.

The Internet Republic of Blah was founded on 4 April 2009, and has 23 members according to the latest census. It defines itself as an internationally notable organisation of mostly hackerspace-related people, coders, geeks, hardware hackers and the like, and those who spend most of their time online, or travelling around the world, and therefore don’t feel they belong to a specific nation.

Initially the Republic of Blah gained its own Hackerspace at Hackerspaces.org. Hackerspaces are community-operated physical places where people can meet and work on their projects.

Today the Republic of Blah can also claim a theoretical small piece of land for future embassy-construction purposes in the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago, as one of the ten UMMOA member nations.

Actually, the Republic of Blah today also has a small piece of the Inclusive Namespace, which is part of a much wider namespace than the one maintained by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). As the results of the domain information groper (DiG) below show, it was granted the .blah top-level domain (TLD) in the Cesidian Root, and now uses several .blah domains:

Remembering the moment

Like many other real countries, Independent Long Island also possesses something akin to an Overseas Territory, and its territory is called the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA).

The UMMOA is a multi-oceanic archipelago governed by a kind of federation of Fourth, Fifth and Sixth World nations, and the world’s first supermicronation. The UMMOA’s 11 insular possessions have no indigenous population, an inhabitable area of 13.3 square miles (34.3 square kilometres), and was once known as the United States Minor Outlying Islands (USMOI).

How did the UMMOA become an Overseas Territory of Independent Long Island? Has Independent Long Island actually annexed US territory?

In January 2007, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) reportedly dropped the .UM country code top-level domain (ccTLD) from the master list of domain names in response to the domain being unused, and the desire of the University of Southern California Information Sciences Institute (ISI) to divest itself of responsibility for the domain.

Since the US still legally assumes that Roman law extends to the Internet (false assumption, because it can be demonstrated that Cesidian law really governs the Internet); since the .UM ccTLD legally represented the United States Minor Outlying Islands, a statistical designation defined by ISO 3166-1, and consisting of 11 insular United States possessions; officers of the Cesidian Root, an intercontinental Internet independent of the ICANN, were prepared to legally occupy the .UM ccTLD as soon as the ICANN and ISI abandoned it. Like any seaworthy ship abandoned in international waters, anyone could have legally occupied the .UM ccTLD.

Once the .UM ccTLD was legally occupied, the President of the Cesidian Root would have used the legally occupied .UM ccTLD to legally annex the United States Minor Outlying Islands (if the US can occupy the Internet based on territorial claims, then the reverse should also be kosher from a legal standpoint), and would have renamed the islands the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago or UMMOA.

The .UM ccTLD was not abandoned immediately, however. According to a Wikipedia article, in November 2007 at the registry website of http://www.nic.um a message stated “Registration is CLOSED at this time. We are only accepting Registrar Accounts.” In December 2007, registration was opened on an experimental basis with an “Annual Account Maintenance” fee of $1,200 and a $30 annual domain registration. Since the University of Southern California Information Sciences Institute (ISI) divested itself of this registry, EP.NET hosted it for an independent company, USMIR, and continued to administer it. Some .UM websites like hotel.um sprung up after the ccTLD opened.

On 19 January 2008 the http://www.ummoa and http://www.amomu domains came alive in the Cesidian Root. The Hon. Most Rev. Dr. Cesidio Tallini, who was already Governor of Independent Long Island, Founding Member of the Commonwealth Nations Research Society, President and Founder of the Cesidian Root, and Bishop of the Cesidian Church, started a first Independent Long Island-registered organisation called the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (or UMMOA) for the expressed purpose of providing each macro- and micronational member of the organisation an UMMOA-based embassy, so any micronation can stand on legal ground in Montevideo Convention terms.

The UMMOA was to exist on the legal foundation called jus cerebri humani, since it is, in essence, the intellectual creation of Tallini, as much as a new and distinct territorial claim. Since Tallini was born in Independent Long Island, but not on any of the islands of the UMMOA; since the UMMOA has no indigenous population; Tallini, and any national of the UMMOA federation, would become a citizen of that country by naturalisation (jus via naturalisation).

Some time on Monday, 21 April 2008, the .UM ccTLD was suddenly removed from the ICANN’s root zone file. At the Cesidian Root, IASON records of 20 April 2008 still show .UM as part of the ICANN root zone.

On Saturday, 26 April 2008, however, IASON, a Star Wars-like root server defence system, showed for the first time a missing top-level domain in the ICANN root: the .UM ccTLD. In other words, the .UM ccTLD was behaving like it was part of the Cesidian Root, but not part of the ICANN root.

Any .UM second-level domain that was still visible in the Cesidian Root after that date, was still visible only because the .UM had not been deleted from the Cesidian Root, so domains like the old copy of the gov.um were still visible. These domains are no longer visible in the ICANN root, since the .UM country code top-level domain is missing entirely from the root zone file.

On 6 May 2008, at 4.53 GMT exactly, the new, UMMOA-controlled gov.um domain became visible in the Cesidian Root for the first time, and all these other new .UM domains were already visible at the time:

  • wi.um [Wake Island, UMMOA]

  • jn.um [Johnston Atoll, UMMOA]

  • ma.um [Midway Atoll, UMMOA]

  • kr.um [Kingman Reef, UMMOA]

  • pa.um [Palmyra Atoll, UMMOA]

  • jv.um [Jarvis Island, UMMOA]

  • bk.um [Baker Island, UMMOA]

  • hi.um [Howland Island, UMMOA]

  • ni.um [Navassa Island, UMMOA]

  • bj.um [Bajo Nuevo Bank, UMMOA]

  • sb.um [Serranilla Bank, UMMOA]

  • yahoo.um [Yahoo Islet, Serranilla Bank, UMMOA]

In an email in the early hours of the morning of Tuesday, 6 May 2008 (‘Jeuday 23 Edison 2008’ in the Cesidian calendar), the President and Founder of the Cesidian Root made the official announcement to Cesidian Root operators worldwide as follows:

Cesidian Root officers, Nürnberg, Germany 78.47.115.194 IPv4 address here. The Red-footed Booby has landed.

The Red-footed Booby had landed indeed! Not even during the Normandy Invasion in World War II have 12 islands, atolls, reefs, banks, or islets been invaded on a single day! This was the first time in history that an alternative DNS root like the Cesidian Root had successfully taken away a TLD like the .UM from the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Other racines libres, other free alternative DNS root server systems have faced the very opposite scenario. For example, the Wikipedia states that “Before ICANN approved of .biz as a top-level domain it was already in use by one or more alternative DNS root(s).” The .BIZ TLD was illegally taken by the ICANN from alternative DNS roots in the past.

The ICANN, a California non-profit corporation that was itself illegally created on 18 September 1998 by the US Department of Commerce, assumes that Roman law legally extends to the Internet, and acts as if this were a legal fact. Since the United States holds large territories, and military bases in 153 countries, the ICANN assumes that the US also has the right to hold a global Internet, and a virtual global monopoly over DNS business. The principle of “might makes right.” By the same principle, the US believes that since it holds 11 islands and atolls, a most irregular claim under international legal convention even if it were just a territory, the US government also has the right to hold a .UM ccTLD. Well, if this is legally true, if it is legally true that the US can occupy the Internet based on territorial claims, then the reverse should also be kosher from a legal standpoint: once a ccTLD is occupied, and according to previously published RFCs, cannot be reoccupied by another root or party in order to avoid any possible collisions, any land or territory legally associated with such ccTLD is also the property of the new ccTLD operators.

Thus on 6 May 2008 Independent Long Island legally annexed the 11 islands and atolls previously known to belong to the United States Minor Outlying Islands, and renamed them the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA).
